Inspired by the iconic Lifesaver icy pole, this work draws together nostalgia, colour, and celebration. Referencing the vibrant spirit of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and the historic Mardi Gras celebrations in 1950s Manly, it reflects how public celebration and cultural expression have evolved over time. Through colour and form, the piece speaks to joy, identity, and a more open and connected present.
